Sitar, santoor & tabla Viram Jasani
(sitar), Kiranpal Singh Deoora (santoor) & Hanif Khan
(tabla) play Music of North India.
Viram is the UK’s foremost sitarist, playing in the gayaki
(singing) style of the late Vilayat Khan. Kiranpal is a master
of the rare santoor - a hammered zither originating from Persia
that has only recently gained solo status.
Hanif is the UK’s leading exponent of the
tabla, a pair of drums that provide a rhythmic framework,
accompanying the soloists and playing virtuosic
improvisations.
A rare opportunity to hear these three instruments in
concert!
All seated unreserved £15
